Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact or Subscribe forms

A contact form is provided for viewers who would like to contact me regarding any questions they may have about my articles. Where I have a product to promote in the form of an Book, e-book or physical product a seperate subscription form will be made available to subscribe to my subscribers list.

This contact form is not to be used for offering me web services or promotion of products of any kind. Those who do will be reported as unsolicited spammers.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Only authorized administrators can also see and edit that information.
Following GDPR Guidelines customer data no longer required may be deleted under the fifth data protection principle “personal data processed for any purpose or purposes shall not be kept for longer than is necessary for that purpose or purposes”

How we protect your data.

Your information is stored by us in each website database respectively and backed up to storage secured by password protected folders only accessible by our system and our nominated Data control officer. Data cannot be shared with anyone randomly and can only be shared with your permission under the terms and conditions you subscribed to when the data was provided.
We do however have to respect that access must be provided to relevant Law enforcement agencies where it may be requested by the courts for a lawful investigation of criminal activities and a warrant authorizing such access be complied with. This matter will be referred to our legal team for authentication before any release of data.

What data breach procedures we have in place.

It is our process to use an encrypted password for access to any of our backed up data which is kept on Physical storage and secure cloud storage. should a data breach occur we would implement complete password changes to re-secure the data and contact anyone held in our system and inform them immediately. whilst at the same time investigating the breach and informing the Police where the need is warranted.

We may from time to time receive information from third parties in connection with the supply of our products and services. this will fall within the normal working conditions and requirements in the daily operation of our business and our website/s.

What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data

We may use the services of automated screening of correspondence sent to us for the purposes of spam protection and fraud detection. these services run in the background and may monitor forms on the website from known fraudulent IP addresses as well as email protection from malware adware and web virus’s.
